AI-Powered Selling with Notetaker & Enrich

Two powerful new features. One goal: help your sales team move faster with less manual work.

In this live product deep dive, host Christine Sotelo is joined by Product Managers Sam Floyd (AI Enrich) and Matt Bonde (Close Notetaker) to walk you through how these new AI-powered tools work, and how they’re already transforming sales teams inside Close.

  • Close Notetaker: Stop taking notes manually. Close Notetaker automatically transcribes and summarizes your sales calls, capturing key moments, action items, and next steps so nothing gets lost after the call ends.
  • AI Enrich: Say goodbye to blank lead records. AI Enrich automatically fills in company and contact details, cutting down research time and giving your team richer, more complete data to work from.

You’ll get a first-hand look at how these features work, what’s already live, how these features will evolve, and how you can give feedback to help shape what comes next.

Live Q&A included so bring your questions!

Christine: Hello, welcome to Close the Gap webinar. We're doing a product deep dive today. I'm gonna give it a couple seconds and let folks trickle in before we kick off. Thank you all for joining. We're really excited to have you here today. We're excited to jump in, so I'll give it maybe 20 seconds while people trickle in.
Alright, I am going to jump in. I have a couple housekeeping things I want to get covered before we get into the topic, so we’ll let people flow in while I get started. Again, welcome everyone to Close the Gap webinar. We’re doing a product deep dive today on two new features: Close Note Taker and AI Enrich. We're joined by the product makers behind those features.
Before I jump in, I’ll cover a few housekeeping items. One, this session is being recorded, so if you need to jump off at any time, you can. We will send the recording right after the webinar. No need to take notes. Please drop questions in the chat as we go through the session. We'll do our best to answer those asynchronously. We'll also leave time at the end for live Q&A, and anything we don't get to we’ll follow up with after. Finally, please take one or two minutes to do a quick survey at the end of the event. Your feedback is super important to us and helps us make sure we’re bringing the right content to you.
With that, today we’re excited to bring two new features to you, both powered by AI: AI Enrich, which automates lead research so you can skip the copy-paste grind, and Close Note Taker, which joins your meetings, takes notes, and pushes key insights directly into Close. Ultimately, these features mean less admin for you, more selling, and smarter decisions made with the right context. Both were designed and built with a strong point of view on AI: at Close, we believe AI should be intentional, invisible when it needs to be, and always in service of making your work easier and outcomes better.
So keep that in mind as you listen to Sam and Matt walk through their features and the value they bring. With that, I’ll introduce Matt Bonde, Senior Product Manager behind Close Note Taker, and Sam Floyd, Senior Product Manager behind AI Enrich. Each of them will walk through these features and answer questions. I’ll hand it over to Matt.
Matt: Sounds good. Thanks Christine, and hello to everybody. Let me get my screen shared. Cool. So let’s talk about Close Note Taker. First I’ll share a little bit of the history around why we built this, then we’ll go into a demo.
We already had a feature called Call Assistant, which records, summarizes, and transcribes calls made through Close. Teams love it and use it, but we heard a lot of feedback: customers wanted that same level of context for meetings on Zoom, Teams, and Meet. There are great standalone meeting note takers on the market, but none integrate as tightly as our native call transcriptions. We saw an opportunity to create Close Note Taker.
What it does is simple: it helps you get more out of your meetings so you don’t have to take manual notes. You can be confident Note Taker will record the entire conversation, summarize key points, and provide the transcript. It will automatically join your sales meetings once you sync your calendar and enable auto-join. It won’t join your internal meetings—only meetings related to Close.
If you’re reviewing meetings for yourself or your team, Note Taker makes it much easier. Instead of sitting through full recordings or deciphering messy notes, you’ll see a clean summary or jump into key sections. The result: maximum context from your sales conversations right inside your CRM. And this foundation unlocks even more value for AI features we’re building.
Now I’ll show you how it works. Some parts are hard to demo live—setup, in-call, post-call—so I’ll play a short pre-recorded walkthrough. [Matt demonstrates settings: syncing calendar, Zoom authorization, enabling auto-join, customizing Note Taker’s name, seeing it automatically join only sales-related meetings. Shows pre-call state, pausing until multiple human attendees, ability to remove it if desired.]
After the call, Note Taker generates the transcript, a clean summary, and highlights. You can play back the call, see diarization (who spoke when), and search transcripts. From the Conversations page you can also filter and search across your team’s entire library of calls and meetings—great for managers to surface topics or objections.
That wraps up how to set up Note Taker, use it on calls, and see results in Close. It’s available now, free during the beta period. Pricing is still TBD, but we’ll provide advance notice before any billing changes. Please try it, give us feedback, and let us know what you think. With that, I’ll hand it off to Sam to talk about AI Enrich.
Sam: Sweet. Thanks Matt. Excited to dive in. I’m Sam, product manager on AI Enrich. This feature lets you automatically populate fields on a lead or contact in Close using AI, without leaving Close, juggling tabs, or configuring integrations. You select a field, add optional guidance or a prompt, and AI Enrich combines the record details in Close with live web access to find the best data for that field. It’s flexible and tailored to your use case.
A quick note: AI Enrich is a paid, usage-based feature available on all plans. You only pay for what you use. Docs and pricing details are available, and our team can answer questions.
Our approach is different from many tools. Instead of giving you 15 canned fields from a static database, we let you enrich the fields you care about in your CRM. You can use it on any existing or new fields. You can further customize it with prompts to direct what AI looks for, what it should return, and what to do if nothing is found. It’s real-time and web-powered, not stale. And it’s fully native to Close.
So far we’ve seen three main use cases:

  1. Company intelligence — things like LinkedIn URL, year founded, industry. Useful for segmentation and reporting.

  2. Research questions — custom to your funnel. Example: when I was an SDR selling billing software, we only wanted companies with negotiated contracts. I used to check websites manually for “contact sales” vs “checkout” buttons. With AI Enrich, that could have been automated.

  3. Analysis — extracting insights from context inside Close (emails, notes, call transcripts) combined with web data. Example: populating a “Sales Goals” field by analyzing recent conversations.

[Sam demonstrates creating custom fields, adding AI Enrich guidance, running enrichment manually on a record, showing confidence scores and reasoning, then running bulk enrichments across smart views. He shows building workflows to trigger enrichment automatically, and examples like ideal customer scoring or specialized accreditation checks for niche industries.]
AI Enrich saves hours of manual research and ensures your team has accurate, fresh context when prospecting or qualifying.
Christine: Great, thank you both. Let’s shift into Q&A. Matt, do you want to start?
Matt: Sure. Sam, there were questions about whether AI Enrich could find new contacts at leads—for example, the VP of Marketing.
Sam: We’ve seen customers do that. It’s not a dedicated prospecting tool, but you can add a custom field, e.g. “Marketing Executive,” and prompt AI to return the person’s name. It will search based on the lead’s URL and return what it finds. Same with phone or email, if that info is public. Try it manually, then run it in bulk if it works.
Matt: Another question: are there plans to integrate with third-party data vendors, e.g. BuiltWith for tech stack info?
Sam: That’s something we’re paying attention to. Direct contact info (emails, phone numbers) is top of mind, but tech stack via APIs like BuiltWith is definitely something we may add down the road.
Christine: Another question: can AI Enrich show a lead’s current role or title from LinkedIn?
Sam: Yes. Role and tenure are public data. AI Enrich can pull that, and if the contact has emailed you, it’ll use their email signature first, since that’s usually the most accurate and up to date.
Christine: We also had feedback—Ashley said she’d pay for a notification when a LinkedIn contact’s title changes.
Sam: That’s great feedback. We’ve heard similar requests and will explore it.
Matt: There were questions about cost. Sam, can you explain credits?
Sam: Sure. It’s credit-based, per run per field. Example: if you enrich 10 leads across 4 fields, that’s 40 runs. Each run is 5 credits. So 200 credits total. Credits are about 1 cent each. So that example would cost about $2. We provide pricing details in docs and inside the product. Admins can also control usage permissions per field.
Christine: What about enriching opportunity fields?
Sam: Not today, but it’s on the roadmap. Our vision is to support any field in Close, including opportunities and custom objects.
Christine: Perfect. I think that covers most of the questions. If we missed any, we’ll follow up after. Matt and Sam, thanks for sharing your emails in case attendees want to reach out directly.
Thank you everyone for joining today. As I mentioned, we’ll send the recording after the webinar so you can rewatch or share with your team. Please take a minute for the survey—we’d love your feedback. Thanks again.
Matt: Thanks everybody.
Sam: Thanks everyone.
