Are these two separate features? How do they work?

For now, yes. Call Assistant has been helping Close users on calls for a few years, and now we have a public, free Beta of Notetaker for Meetings. These will likely merge in the future. Notetaker is available to all Close customers for free, regardless of if they pay for Call Assistant.

Together, they automatically transcribe and summarize your sales calls and meetings using AI-powered speech recognition and natural language processing. This means you get accurate notes, key insights, and action items without lifting a finger. It records both audio and video from all participants for your meetings.

How accurate are AI-generated call + meeting summaries?

Our AI-driven call and meeting summaries and transcriptions are highly accurate, capturing key takeaways and next steps from your conversations. While no AI is perfect, the Close Call Assistant and Notetaker are pretty dang great.

Where are my summaries and transcripts stored?

All AI call and meeting notes and summaries are automatically logged in Close CRM under the corresponding contact or deal, so you can easily refer back to them later.

Does Meeting Notetaker work with Zoom, MS Teams, and Google Meet?

Close Notetaker works with all 3! You'll just connect your corresponding account, and our native integration takes it from there. Notetaker works even if you have a free Zoom account, as long as your accounts are synced.

Does Call Assistant work with any calling system?

Call Assistant works seamlessly with Close’s built-in calling system. If you’re using an external phone service, you’ll need to log calls manually.

How much does Close Notetaker and Call Assistant cost?

Close Notetaker is free during our public beta in the summer of 2025.
